BERT WALLACE OJA February 17, 1953 July 11, 2006 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bert Wallace Oja, on July 11, 2006 at 53 years of age at the St. Boniface Hospital. Fondly known to his family as Buzzy, he leaves to mourn, his sisters, Sandra and Patricia; his brother Jack (Campbell River, BC); his niece Sandy (Matt), and nephew James (Mag and children). Born in 1953, Bert grew up in Wildwood Park. With many friends to miss him, we cherish wonderful memories of his work with the City of Winnipeg, IATSE, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, his association with the Royal Canadian Legion, the Wildside Walkers, and his great joys in music, reading, golf, etc. He was predeceased by his father Bert Oja in 1961 and his mother Evelyn Oja (nee Plumridge) in 1993. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Viewing one half hour prior to service. A celebration of his life will take place following the service at the home of sister Patricia. A private interment will be held at a later date.
