Steve had very close family ties that made his life rich in ways that money couldn't buy. Steve was born in Gimli, MB, June 25, 1951 and grew up in Meleb, MB. Steve attended school in Berlo and Gimli Composite High. At the age of 16 Steve set out to conquer the world and started his first job in Winnipeg at Atomic Transport. Steve continued his passion in trucking and moved to Tri-Line Express Ways and was presently employed by Payne Transport. Steve developed a great number of memorable friendships through his many miles of travel. Following in his father's footsteps, on the family farm, Steve's second passion was farming. Despite its many hardships, farming gave him great pleasure. He believed you got what you worked for, and that a hard day's work was its own reward. The warm and beautiful memories we will cherish are of a fair and generous loving man who loved his life and gave that love back to his family and friends. We all love and miss him.
