COLLEEN JANE ETHIER July 22, 1961 January 16, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Colleen, on January 16, at the young age of 46 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son Christopher, grandchild Nicholas, her mother Annette, brothers Brian, Darrell (Roxanne), Derek (Robin), her twin sister Colette Crosbie (Grant), and her partner for many years, Del Lavineway, as well as many treasured nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Andrew Ethier. Colleen was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. James. She worked in the service industry, spending a number of years at the Assiniboine Golf Club. Most recently, she was at Harry's Foods where she really enjoyed the people she worked with and her regular customers, just as we know they enjoyed being around her. Although contemplating obtaining her driver's license, she never did get it; however, she loved riding her bike everywhere. She followed after her mother and enjoyed golf, and she loved late night video games. She had three cats, Sammy, Muffin and Frisky who were all happy that Colleen spent so much cuddle time with them. On occasion, she had great fun at the lake with family and made so many happy memories for nieces Carly and Taylor. Recently, she was delighted to have shared a visit with son Christopher from Calgary over Christmas time. Colleen had a little giggle that always left us guessing if she had a little secret , and her contagious laugh will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Colleen, you will be missed by all whose lives you touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Colleen's memory to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities.
