PATON WILSON

PATON WILSON It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing, of Paton Arthur Wilson, on Saturday, December 20, 2008. Born in 1942 to Sarah Evelyn and Arthur George Wilson, in Kenora, ON. His father was a station agent for CPR, stationed in Carrievale and Melita. His father retired in Brandon, MB. Paton moved into Winnipeg and worked at Levitt Signs, Mayers Paper Products, Freed and Freed. Paton met Shirley in 1962, they married in 1964 and he started a new career in flying in 1966 / 1967. He learned his flying training in the air cadets. Paton became a bush pilot in Ear Falls and Lynn Lake. He then moved back to Winnipeg and ran a flying school in Morden. He continued flying Government Air in The Pas, Corporate Flying in Calgary, Government Air in Thompson, Bush Medi Vac and Government Air Winnipeg until he retired in 2006. He is survived by his wife Shirley J. Wilson; sons, Darryl (Wendy), Jason (Dawn); brothers, Wayne (Vi), Calvin (Karin); sister Ferelith; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be missed by his family, many friends in the community of Stonewall, as well as by his wife's family. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27 at 2:30 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall. Rev. Leonard Oracheski will officiate. The service will conclude at the chapel with cremation to follow. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, in care of arrangements.
