ALEX SOKOLOWSKI It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alex Sokolowski on November 11, 2009 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon after a courageous battle. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Anne of almost 60 years; beloved daughter Cathi, his cherished brother Paul (Ruth) and their family; dear cousins, extended family members and numerous nieces and nephew; also his cherished dear friends and neighbours and family and friends in Europe. He also enjoyed reading and listening to his radio programs, especially Ukrainian music. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all. God took your hand and we had to part, he eased your pain but broke our hearts. If you could have spoken before you died, these are the words you would have replied: This life for me has truly passed, I have loved you all; till the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take, and love one another for my sake. The Lord is my rock, His way is perfect, forever loved and remembered. Till we meet again. His presence in our lives will be profoundly missed. Vichnaya Pam' Yat Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
