JOHN DONALD (JOCK) MCLEOD It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our brother, Jock, age 55 on Friday, March 12, 2010 in Pincher Creek, AB. Jock will be missed by his family: Jean and Richard Wiebe of Headingley, MB; Pete and Sandra of Binscarth, MB; Joan and Keb Libsekal of Grande Prairie, AB; Frank of Saskatoon, SK; Ruth and Doug Betke of Russell, MB; and sister-in-law Kim McLeod of Russell, his four nieces and six nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Wesley and Merna, brother Glen, nephews Cade and Brance. Jock was born at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Russell on February 12, 1955. He attended school in Russell. He was known to many as Windy because of his great ability to tell stories that would cheer you up or make you laugh. Jock worked at various jobs and for the last 30 years resided in southern Alberta. Funeral services were held at the Knox United Church in Russell on March 20, 2010 with interment at Russell Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers were Pete and Frank McLeod, Richard Wiebe and Doug Betke. Our heartfelt thanks to our relatives and friends for your kind acts of sympathy. Thank you to Rev. D. Howell for a memorable service, to Kim for playing the organ and the Knox United Church ladies for the lovely lunch. We enjoyed the many stories you shared with us about Jock and are grateful for those memories. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
