REVEREND EDWARD ULYSSES MORAND Reverend Edward Ulysses Morand, retired Roman Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg passed away on October 27, 2010 in Windsor, Ontario. Father Morand was born August 4, 1928 in Tecumseh, Ontario. After completing Seminary formation at St. Peter's Seminary in London, Ontario, Fr. Ed was ordained on June 4, 1955 for the Archdiocese of Winnipeg at St. Peter's Cathedral, London, Ontario by Most Reverend J.C. Cody, D.D. of London. His appointments included, Secretary to the Archbishop and Vice-Chancellor (1955 to 1957); Parochial Vicar, St. Vital Church, Winnipeg (1957 to 1962); Pastor, St. Theresa's Church, Middlechurch (1962 to 1966); St. Lazare Church, St. Lazare (1970 to 1972); St. Ann's Church, Winnipeg (1972 to 1975); St. Vital Church, Winnipeg (1975 to 1978); Our Lady of Victory Church, Winnipeg (1978 to 1988). He also served as Parochial Administrator of John XXIII Parish Centre, Winnipeg (1966 to 1970). He retired from active ministry in October of 1988 due to illness. Prayers will be celebrated on Sunday, October 31 at St. Ann's Parish in Tecumseh and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Parish on Monday, November 1, 2010.
