JOHN EDWARD EVANS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather at Victoria General Hospital on Sunday, October 30. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years, Joan, his daughter Diane (Brian), grandson Sean (Jackie), and great- grandsons Jayden and Kealan. He is survived by his sister Vera, as well as many nieces and nephews in England. John was an avid soccer fan, enjoyed reading and playing golf. He was a member of the Wildewood Golf Club for a number of years and also a member of the White Ensign. John will always be remembered for his loving nature, his honesty, generosity, and to all who knew him - his family, friends and work colleagues - as a real Gentleman . The family wishes to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their kindness and also Dr. M. Lee Cummings for his compassion and care over the years. A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. If friends wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation to CancerCare Manitoba would be appreciated (or to a charity of your choice). Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
