ALICE BARIL (nee MARION) November 19, 1927 December 13, 2011 Our mother passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Manitoba. She leaves to mourn her eight children, Roger (Faye), Lorraine, Lynne, René (Carol), Lucette (Sylvio), Michel (Cindy), Richard, and Denis (Vanessa). Cherished and lovingly remembered by 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn a brother, Roland Marion; six sisters, Bertha Touzin, Rita Mullin (Glenn), Noëlla Marion, Jeanette St. Amant, Lucette Boulet (Fern), Huguette Sabourin, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lucien, her parents, two brothers and four sisters. Our mother was an honest, selfless woman, with unique creative talents and a love of knowledge. She faced the hardships of life like a ray of sunshine through her faith, great courage, and strength. Her acts of kindness and generosity were an inspiration to many. Your unconditional love, words of wisdom, and your compassion were a role model for all of us. Mom, you are dearly missed and your beautiful personality survives within us. The family is very appreciative of Dr. Fraser, and the staff at Red River Valley Lodge for their care and compassion in her final days. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Roman Catholic Church, St. Jean Baptiste.
