EDNA BURDETT

EDNA BURDETT (nee MALCOLM) March 31, 1936 - January 29, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mom and Grandmother after a valiant battle with cancer. Edna is survived by her daughter Tannis (Blair), son Marc (Wendy), grandchildren Pam, Kiandra, Natalie and great-grandchildren, Sedona, Kiyahna, Aisha, Shiyah, Dreyven and Jeevun, along with many close extended family members and friends. We would especially like to thank Terry and Fran for opening their home and heart to her during her illness and also to Marlene and Jerry for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Suite 200, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6. In keeping with Mom's wishes, a private graveside ceremony will be held for family members on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Lundar Municipal Cemetery.   • I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Tannis, Marc, and all of Edna's family. Edna and I have been friends for many years. From the years of going to hockey games together, going to the Morris Stampede, and many, many parties over the years, we have had so many good times together. I remember the many laughs we had with Ethel and Karen when Edna had the exercise place in Lundar. Exercising was actually fun in those days. I will miss my friend very much. Love from Janet
