SHIRLEY LIPKIN

SHIRLEY LIPKIN Sadly we announce the passing of Shirley Lipkin on Friday, January 27, 2012. Left to mourn her passing are her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Glory Fleisher; her children Shelley and Harvey Oman, Kerry and Elysa Lipkin and son-in-law Jack Potash; grandchildren, Ari and Nicole, Cory and Jean, Daniel, Jenna, Annie, Grace and Sam; as well as her great-grandson, Evan. She was predeceased by her daughter Marlene and grandson Adam. Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother who took great pride in her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. Shirley was a very strong and independent woman who overcame many struggles and tragedies in her life. She faced these obstacles with courage and a strong positive attitude. Shirley's varied interests included theatre with friends, sports (especially the Blue Jays and Bombers), word puzzles and Mah Jongg. We would like to thank Dr. Randunne, Dr. Wong and the staff at Riverview as well as her palliative care nurses and aides. Donations to a charity of your choice in Shirley's loving memory are welcomed.

  • I remember a certain summer at Winnipeg Beach when Auntie Shirley rented a cottage not far from ours, and both families spent a lot of happy times together, especially at the lake. I will remember you fondly, Auntie Shirley. Rest in peace and I send my condolences to the whole family....Love, Andi
