DAVID TAYLOR

DAVID STEPHEN TAYLOR After several years of illness, David was released into peace on February 2, 2012. David was predeceased by his infant brother Paul in 1942, father Wallace in 1963, and mother Amy in 2000. He is survived by his brother Donald. David was born in Winnipeg on May 9, 1938 and lived his first 25 years in Minnedosa, working with his dad at H.S. Taylor and Son Insurance Agency. Later he settled on a career with Driver-Ed in Winnipeg and spent a number of years instructing at St. Mary's Academy. David's patient, polite manner was appreciated by those to whom he taught driving and he was liked by his students. His chief interests were politics, sports and American history, especially the U.S. Civil War years. If better health would have been his he would have toured Gettysberg in his retirement. He followed Canadian politics very closely and had a life-long interest in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was liked by many for his agreeable manner and thoughtfulness. A private family service will take place, with interment in the Minnedosa Cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson Society Manitoba or a charity of one's choice. Minnedosa Funeral Service, Minnedosa, MB in care of arrangements (204) 867-3868.
