GEORGE BURTON

GEORGE ROBERT BURTON In loving memory of George Robert Burton who was born on March 4, 1921 and who passed away on March 9, 2012. An honoured Second World War veteran, George passed peacefully with family by his side. He is lovingly remembered by George, Jessica and granddaughter Meaghan Burton. He will be remembered always for his kindness and love of life. Many thanks to the Deer Lodge Centre, Tower 5 for the many years of support and care. We sat beside your bedside, Our hearts were crushed and sore; We did our best to the end, Til we could do no more. In tears we watched you sinking, We watched you fade away; And though our hearts were breaking, We knew you could not stay. You left behind some aching hearts, That loved you most sincere; We never shall and never will Forget you Father and Grandfather dear. A memorial gathering will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., across from Brookside Cemetery. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 23 in Brookside Cemetery. Friends wishing to attend may gather in front of the cemetery office, just inside the first gate. No flowers please, donations can be made in memory of George to a charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
