SIEGFRIED BINDER

SIEGFRIED (FRED) BINDER On June 7 2012, Fred peacefully passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 79. Fred is predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Ingeborg, his brother Jurgen, and his parents Arthur and Frieda Binder. Fred will be dearly missed by his son, Bernd Binder. Fred was born in Berlin, Germany July 20, 1932, and immigrated to Canada in 1957 with girlfriend Ingeborg. He later returned in 1963 and married in Berlin. Fred and Ingeborg returned many times to Berlin over the years. Fred's occupation was an Automotive Electrician/Mechanic; the majority of Fred's employment was with GM, including ten years with McNaught Motors where he received awards and recognition as a Cadillac Craftsman, with knowledge learned over the years Fred enjoyed helping others from his home garage on Scotia St. Fred and his wife enjoyed the outdoors and spending as many weekends as possible lakeside. Fred liked having a good time enjoying a drink as those who knew him know to well. Fred was always readily available when friends would organize hunting or fishing expeditions. Fred was a straight forward man who was not likely to accept advice from others; he was a generous and caring person who will be truly missed by the people who knew him. As per his wishes cremation has taken place, followed by a Private Interment on his 80th Birthday.
