DONALD JOHN TAYLOR FISHER With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of our Husband, Dad and Grandpa, on June 16, 2012 at the age of 78. Donny will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Christine (Billie); daughters Leslie (Eddie), Jodi (Doug); son Carey (Donna), and grandchildren John, Drew, Jessica and Troy. Donny retired from the Government of Manitoba, Public Works Department after 28 years of service, allowing him more time to golf, curl and go biking. Donny and Billie enjoyed many trips with family to Las Vegas and Mexico. In his most recent years, he looked forward to his afternoons at the Wellness Centre with the Lean Keen Kidney Machine group. Grandpa had a love for all music, however the jam session of Run to the Hills with John on drums and Drew on bass will forever be his favourite. Special thanks to Dr. Badenhorst in Selkirk, Dr. Sood and team at the Renal Clinic at St. Boniface Hospital and Selkirk General Hospital Palliative Care. There are many more people to mention and to avoid missing anyone, Billie and family would like to thank everyone who cared for, and supported Donny during this difficult journey. In keeping with Donny's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral service will not be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Selkirk General Hospital Palliative Care or Kidney Foundation of Manitoba. We will miss you, and we will watch for falling pennies.
