WERNER HENRY PENNER April 23, 1957 - June 18, 2012 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Werner Penner on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the age of 55 years. Werner was the much loved fifth child of Jacob and Tina Penner. He shared his friendly nature with everyone. He spent many years enjoying life in L. A. with Anita. He was very well read, loved discussing sports and politics, and although bright and articulate, his addiction limited his potential. He leaves to mourn Anita Kroeger, siblings Katy and Henry Thiessen, Ingrid and Jim Gamble, John and Jill Penner, Wally and Rhoda Penner, Harold and Janice Penner, Paul and Melissa Penner, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a come and go reception celebrating Werner's life will be held on Friday, June 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street.   • Grew up with Werner, went to Tante Anna together, to school together, and played on Hawthorne Ave together, a long time ago. Although I haven't seen Werner since the '80s - I can see his wonderful smile as clear as if he were here. My thoughts and prayers are with the family who will miss him dearly - just remember all the wonderful times you had with him.

  • Werner was such a good natured young man with the nicest eyes and always a smile. He was dark, dark and handsome. A caring soul who will remain in the hearts of his friends and remind us all of warm thoughts of our youth. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, family and acquaintances.
