ALLAN MORRISON

ALLAN NEIL MORRISON 1923 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a great man with his family by his side on June 26, 2012 at the Grace Hospital. Allan was born in Argyle, MB on September 29, 1923 and moved to Stonewall, MB as a child. Allan joined the Air Force in 1942 in the Second World War. After the war he spent 30 years working at Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting (HBMS) in Flin Flon, MB. Then he moved to Winnipeg to work at CNR until he retired in 1986 when he moved back to Stonewall then to Lockport in 2005. Allan will be sadly missed by his loving wife Alice, daughter Beverley (Brian) Brindley, son Clifford (Judith) Morrison, stepson Donnie Procter, stepdaughter Anita Proctor (Randy). Also many grandchildren Jackie and Doug Baker (Justine and Emily), Valery and Cory Irving (Gavin and Breanna), Mary and Darren Walker (Chaz, Sam and Alex), Jeff and Karen Slatcher (Jayden and Graeme), Jillian and Steve, Jez (Myha), Carl and Sharyla Morrison, stepgrandchildren Nicole (Matt) Bryce, Tiara and Taylor Procter, brother Ellis (Dora) Morrison. Allan was predeceased by his first wife Anne (Stockwell) Mother and Father (Janett and Edwin Morrison), brother Leonard Morrison, sisters and brothers-in-law Margaret (John) Dodd, Emma (John) Meads, Alice (Murray) Nichol, sister-in-law Margaret Rimkus, stepdaughter Brenda Procter. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 also at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel. Rev. James Bardsley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Stonewall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
