

PAULINE (PAZZA) MARKO (nee MACKO) It is with deep sadness the family of Pauline Marko announces her passing, at the age of 82, on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Arborg Hospital. Pauline was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in 2002, infant daughter Diane, sisters Marion, Pearl, Olga, Nancy and half-brother Peter. She is survived by her daughter Darlene (Sotirios) Agelatos, and by her granddaughters Zoƫ Agelatos and Roxanne (Bobby) Agelatos-Christo, brother John Macko, half-sister Margaret Batenchuk and sister-in-law Jessie Marko. She will also be remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Pauline was born in Hamerlik, Manitoba on May 20, 1930. She married Bill in 1946 and together they first lived in Red Lake, Ontario and then farmed in Hamerlik until their retirement in 1981. She also drove the school bus whenever Bill needed to work the fields. She was an active member of Poplarfield Ladies Guild, Curling Club, Arborg Ukrainian Catholic Church and Arborg Seniors' Club. Pauline had many talents; such as, singing in choirs, gardening, needlework, crafts, Mrs. Fix-it, wax healing, and a passion for delicious homemade specialties. Pauline also enjoyed traveling with Bill to many places in the U.S., especially to visit Darlene and her family in Florida. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and will live forever in our hearts. May God now take care of her as she did for us. Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Arborg. Interment will follow at the Hamerlik Cemetery.
