JIM WONG

JIM WONG September 29, 1931 - June 30, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and grandfather, Jim Wong on Saturday, June 30, 2012, with his family by his side, at Health Sciences Centre. Jim was predeceased by his father, Wo Wing Wong, mother, Gim Hoi Mah Wong, his brothers, Jin Wah Wong, John Mo Wong and his sister Lai Wah Wong. Jim was born in Canton, China in the province of Guangdong on September 29, 1931. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Chow Ping, daughters, Pam Wong-McGrath (Mark), Wendy Liu, Leslie Pawlyk (Mel) and Linda; grandchildren Christopher, Melissa, Tianna and Cassie; his sister, Lily Wong Guenther (Gordon); his brother-in-law Chris Au (Rika) and their children Douglas, Graham; his sisters-in-law Ada Leong (Stephen) and their son Anthony, Lai Kai Wong and her children Wanda Chu (Raymond), Wilma Chan (Lewis), Bobby (Paulane) and Larry and all their children, and cousin Joe Wong (May) and their children. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to all the doctors and staff at Health Sciences Centre (MICU) and Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, CancerCare or the Kidney Foundation. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, (across from the Brookside Cemetery). JIM WONG On June 30, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre, Jim Wong, beloved husband of Chow Ping Wong, passed away at the age of 81 years. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 6 at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., across from Brookside Cemetery. Longer obituary will follow.
