JOSE DALUZ

JOSE VIEIRA GONCALVES DALUZ Peacefully, on July 2, 2012, Jose Vieira Goncalves Daluz passed away with his family by his side. Jose was predeceased by his parents Augusto Daluz and Aleseandrina Vieira, and his brother Augusto Vieira Amaral. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Maria de Fatima; sons Simon, Marco (Sabrina), Moses (Enza); daughter Elizabeth (Chad); granddaughters Allysia, Grace and Madisyn; a new grandbaby on the way, and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Jose was born on December 27, 1948 in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. At the age of 21, he joined the army and served his country for three years. Following his term, he became a fish merchant, married his love and started a family. In 1974, the family moved to Winnipeg where he worked in the construction field for 34 years. Jose enjoyed five years of retirement with his wife. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital ICU for their support and loving care. You will be sadly missed and never forgotten dad. Forever in our heart. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later! Prayers will be said on Thursday, July 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jose's honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 586-8044

  • I will never forget his fun personality. He was always joking around and always made me laugh. He will be truly missed. Walking into the house and not hearing "hey girlfriend" will be missed.
