BOB DUNCAN Robert Richard Duncan was born May 3, 1951 and passed away July 6, 2012 after a battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father Robert (Bert) Duncan December 24, 2011, his uncle John Duncan, grandparents John and Isa Duncan and Richard and Rose Elsie Burton. Bob is survived by his mother Betty, his partner Carolyn, brothers David (Elizabeth) and Paul (Margaret), aunts Louise and Margaret (Ted), nephews Cameron (Natalie) and Burton (Kate), niece Megan (Mike), and cousins Barbara (Neville), Edward and Lahra. Bob was born in Winnipeg and lived in East and North Kildonan all his life. From an early age Bob's passion was cars and the outdoors, which led to his love of fishing and hunting. His weekends, holidays and days off were spent on the water, the ice or in the bush. Bob worked for his parents at the House of Silver, and eventually took over the business. He became a great friend to all his customers, helping and advising them on enhancing their silverware or chrome for their cars and bikes. He was known for his quality and attention to detail, and received work from across Canada and the States. Bob had many close friends with Alfie Dyck being his buddy since school days and the boys from the Villa . The family would like to thank all Bob's caregivers at Concordia Hospital, and especially to Carolyn for her devotion to Bob. Cremation has taken place, and at Bob's request, a private service will be held on Friday, July 13 with a gathering of his friends at the usual Friday meeting place, the NorVilla after 4:00 p.m.
