- Johnny & Eileen have been a great influence in my life. Their zest for life and the love they shared were a great example to me in my teen years. Johnny was always the consummate gentleman.
Johnny's love for sports also served as a role model. Whether it was playing ball or curling he had a competitive side to him that I admired. He always displayed great sportsmanship behaviour.
Johnny was also a role model for me in his faith commitment. Although he never pushed his Christian faith on others he exemplified a deep love for Jesus and had a servant attitude.
When we got married Johnny and Eileen were always our great encouragers. They never missed a birthday or anniversary to remind us of their love and prayers. When both of us faced our individual battles with cancer they were always our great prayer warriors.
I will always remember Johnny's ready laugh. He loved Eileen and their children and grandchildren and served as role models in that capacity as well.
Although he is absent from the body Johnny is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
May the Lord comfort Eileen and family with His peace and strengthening presence.
In His loving grip,
Ted & Mary Goossen
