MARY FLETT

MARY ALICE (CHAMBERS) FLETT Peacefully with her family at her side, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at River East Personal Care Home at the age of 95 years and 10 months. Mom was born on October 10, 1916, at Bifrost Munc., Manitoba to Julie and Robert Chambers. Mom was married to Jewitt Sylvester Flett from September 12, 1936, until he passed away in June 1977. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bill (Bev), Phyllis, Allan (April), Gerry (Hazel), Wayne and Joan, many nieces, nephews and special friend Barbara Wainwright. Mom's whole life was about children. She had 36 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and over 100 foster children that she cared for. Mom loved to crochet; each child received an afghan. She liked fishing, gardening, tatting, babysitting, berry picking and canning, sewing many quilts and baking her favorite buns. She was predeceased by her husband Jewitt, daughters Margaret and Karen, grandsons Bob and Rodney, granddaughter Lori, daughter-in-law Corrine and son-in-law Jack. The family would like to thank the staff at River East Personal Care Home, Courage Bay and Hope Haven. They were very caring towards Mom. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. Love one another as I loved you
