STANLEY YANECKI It is with deep sadness that his family announces the sudden passing of Stanley, on August 16, 2012, at the age of 75, at Seven Oaks Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Caroline, his son Richard (Kim), daughter Debra Sullivan (Blair), grandsons Dylan and Brent, and the latest addition to our family Maxine his cat. Stan or Sach to his friends, worked at the Winnipeg Free Press for 38 years in the composing room. He retired at 58 and continued with running his own business as a hobby. He was proud to have his private pilot's licence and had many stories of his adventures. He enjoyed his many trips to Vegas and in later years he enjoyed playing Keno at the local casinos. Dad enjoyed tinkering with his many projects. He was quite the do-it-yourselfer. He prided himself with his ability to fix anything. To honor Stan's wishes a private family funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
