GILBERT BERARD It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle, and friend, Gilbert Berard, on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the age of 74 years. Gil was predeceased by his Mom and Dad Cecile and Ovila Berard, his dear brother JP, and brother-in-law Bill Kidd. He leaves to mourn his four sisters, Yvette, Rose, Paulette, and Carol, sister-in-law Marie, as well as 20 nieces and nephews, 28 grandnephews and grandnieces, and five great-grandnephews. Gil lived throughout Canada at one time or another during his life, but his passion was always farming, and this is what he did during the last 15 years of his life. He had many health issues over the years but always overcame them. Special thanks to our Aunts Lucille Berard, Denise Lafond, and Jeannette Lagace, and cousins Marc, Gerald, and Richard Berard and Rene Lafond for all their help. We couldn't have done it without their support. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the wonderful caring staff at Morris Hospital. The compassion and care you administered to our brother was greatly appreciated. An open house to celebrate Gilbert's life will be held on Monday, September 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Club des Pionniers Hall in St. Jean Baptiste. All are welcome. Gilbert, we held your hand and stayed by your side. We waited for Mom, our beautiful angel to Come and take you home. You took your final breath and left us to join Dad, JP, and Bill, and all our uncles and aunts. You are in good hands, goodbye dear brother. We love you

  • Dear Gil and Uncle Gil. You will be missed and we are sad to see you go. You helped us so much when Dad passed away and we appreciate that more than you know. From a ride out to Banff, to school supplies before the first day and being our handy man after our Dad passed, you looked out for us. Take care of each other up there and rest peacefully.
