NORMA EDITH MANNING (nee JOHNSON) 1926 - 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Norma Manning on August 24, 2012, at Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years. Norma was predeceased by an infant son Corbett, son Bobby, sister Shirley Hensrud of Kenora and her parents Eva and Corbett Johnson. She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Sandra (Stanley), son Bill Jr. (Colleen), grandchildren Joel (Virginia), Leanne (Steven), Michelle, great-granddaughter Avigail, sisters Beverley (Jack), and Elaine (Frank), and brother Don (Joan). Norma was born June 22, 1926, in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. Her family moved to Winnipeg in 1937, looking to get a better life. Her family was her life and when she wasn't babysitting or dog sitting, she loved exercising her artistic side as a painter. She also loved to travel and just enjoyed nature and volunteering at East Kildonan Nursing Home. A service celebrating the life of this special lady will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mary Ann Krahn at St. Boniface and Dr. Olynyk for many years of devoted service, Dr. Pilat and wonderful staff of 3rd floor North at Concordia Hospital. Donations in memory of Norma would be appreciated to CancerCare Manitoba. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
