JOHN (JACK) PHILIP DOUGLAS Peacefully, with his beloved wife by his side, Jack Douglas passed away on August 27, 2012, at the Tudor House, in Selkirk, MB. Jack was born in Winnipeg, March 5, 1931. Jack married the love of his life, Alice, August 15, 1953. Jack was employed by the T. Eaton Company in their Transportation Department from 1949 to 1993 starting as a mechanic and retiring as a Department Head. Prior to and during his retirement he enjoyed his time at the lake, cutting hay with his son and tinkering in his garage. He especially enjoyed meeting up with an old friend and having a conversation about whatever the topic of the day was. Dad was always proud of the accom-plishments of his family. Whether it was the birth of a grandchild or great-grandchild, first job or promotion, the acquisition of a driver's license, or the purchase of a first vehicle. Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice. His children, Jack (Colleen), Debbie (Bob), Heather (Dave) and Craig (Alison). His grandchildren, Lindsay (Brad), John (Sarah), Todd (Ashley), Kristen (James), Melanie (Pete), Jenna (Cliff), Tara (Perry), Tyler (Randene), Morgan (Brent) and Kyle. His precious great-grandchildren, John-David, Nikita, Drew, Colby, Rayna, Ethan, Kayla, Ryan and Harlen. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Tudor House for their kindness and caring. A private memorial will take place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, You will be missed and forever loved.
