KATHLEEN NAGY Born October 12, 1932 Passed November 28, 2012 The beautiful lights in the sky Wednesday evening marked the path of Kathleen as she began her journey up to Heaven. She passed away peacefully that afternoon at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief but courageous fight with Leukemia. She is survived by Laszlo, her adoring husband of 56 years, her brother-in-law Hector Zeppa, her two sons Les (Ann) and Steve (Christine), and by the joys of her life - her two grandchildren, Geoff and Amanda (Steve and Christine). Kathleen was a generous person who always thought of others before herself. Even in her final hours, she worried that Amanda didn't wear a warmer coat when she came to visit. She encouraged Geoff to continue his studies, because that was his future. She expressed concern that Les and Ann, recently arrived from Florida, might not be able to handle the Winnipeg cold. And to Laszlo, she cried at having to leave him. She wouldn't even ask the nursing staff for anything, because she didn't "want to impose on anyone". Kathleen lives now in a better place; a place where the walls are lined with shelves overflowing with books, every table has a box of French and Frosted Mints, every TV shows Dancing With The Stars - even if they never pick the right winners - and every drive goes 250 yards down the middle of the fairway. The family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Health Sciences Centre and the CancerCare Clinic who made Kathleen's final days much easier. A mass will be said in her honour at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 at St. Ann's Parish, 271 Hampton St. in Winnipeg.
