MARGUERITE JOYCE WATSON On Monday, October 14, 2013 at her residence, Marguerite Joyce Watson of Oakville, MB, widow of the late Daniel Watson passed away at the age of 94 years. A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakville Cemetery. Marguerite was born on May 22, 1919 daughter of Sandy and Hattie Ross, at Portage, MB. She was raised and received her education at Oakville, MB. She moved to Winnipeg where she was employed with the City of Winnipeg. In 1942 she married Daniel Watson and they resided in Saskatoon for a short time until he was stationed at bases in Ontario and Newfoundland. While Daniel was in the Air Force she moved to Oakville and Winnipeg. After the war they farmed at Oakville several years until they purchased Watson's General Store in Oakville which they operated until 1976. Marguerite was a member of Knox United Church in Oakville. She centered her life around her home and family. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and keeping her yard neat and tidy. Predeceased by her husband Daniel, brothers: Bob and Sheldon, she leaves to mourn her passing her son: Gary (Laura) of Brandon and grandson: Kelly (Rhea), great-grand-children: Cheyenne, Mason, granddaughter: Myra (Ryan), son: Dale (Brenda) of Oakville and grandsons: Wendall (Erica) and Jason (Leanne) and several nieces and nephews.
