  • Our deepest condolences to the families of our Uncle Gene Anonychuk. We remember Uncle Gene as a fun, talented, kind man who always kept us enthralled with his jokes and stories of Ukrainian culture and history. He was always a classy individual who blended easily with all people especially his brother-in-laws. We enjoyed many great family parties and were always keen to hear his take on life. Auntie Irene & family rest assured that he was one fine fellow. Love Larry & Norine Kabez - Posted by: Larry Kabez (Nephew) on: Mar 16, 2017

  • To my Auntie Irene and dear cousins, Melody, Angie, Lori and John, please accept our deepest condolences in the passing away of Uncle Gene. I have such fond memories of visiting you and Uncle Gene when I was much younger. How I loved Uncle Gene's sense of humour. He could make a whole room laugh and often did. I also admired him for his artistic flare; the attention to detail in the cards, poetry and correspondence that he created for others. He'll be sorely missed. At a sad time such as this, please remember that your Heavenly Father knows your pain and sorrow. He is prepared to help you cope at such a tragic time. At 2 Corinthians 1:3, Paul refers to Him as "the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials." He encourages us to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7. Please take to heart the wonderful prospect that He holds out to all of us of seeing our loved ones again in the future. As Jesus said in John 5:28, 29 "for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life." Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this tragic loss. - Posted by: Randy Kabez (Nephew) on: Mar 13, 2017
