Condolences & Memories (4 entries)
Bruce and I were saddened to hear of Eds passing. It seems like only yesterday we were were starting our adventures at LB Towers. We remember our weekends at Hillside Beach fondly. Through the years we have lost touch but have always considered Janet and Ed as our lifelong friends, always able to pick up where we last met as if no time had passed at all. We will always remember Ed as a man who said what he meant and meant what he said. We will miss him. - Posted by: Bruce and Ev Howie (Lifelong friends) on: Mar 25, 2017
If you met Ed for the first time, you probably would have called him unique. Ed was open, frank and without pretension. As a straight-to-the-point fellow you knew where you stood in his eyes. Surely, because of that his friendships lasted. We will remember him and he will be missed in large measure. To Janet and the boys, our profound sympathies. - Posted by: Peter and Gladys (Friends) on: Mar 13, 2017
Volker... to you and your brothers....I'm sorry that you lost Ed at such an early age in his life. The suffering for him is over and yours has just begun. Pull together and help out his wife and family in anyway you can. All of you will benefit from sharing stories and leaning on each other. Grieving and sorrow is better with people who hurt in the same way as yourself to try and move forward. - Posted by: Frances Ross (Volker's Sister-in-Law) on: Mar 12, 2017
