ELAINE BARRON It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mom, Elaine Barron at the age of 74. Mom passed suddenly, but peacefully at the Stonewall Hospital on March 7, 2017. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Joseph (Eli) and Myrtle Barron of Balmoral, MB. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Stacey (Korey) Klippenstein; granddaughter Katrina; her sister Connie (Garry) Mayer; her brother Morley Barron; and nieces, Colleen (Cory) Mayer, Candice (John) Lion and Tamara Barron; as well as many cousins and friends. Mom was born in Winnipeg, but was raised in Fisherton until nine years old, then the family moved to Winnipeg. She enjoyed life in the country, and was an active horse rider and founder of the Fisherton Rodeo Club. She had a great love of all animals, especially Siamese cats, and shared her life with several. Mom loved to travel and lived in Vancouver, BC for several years as a young woman, before returning home where she married and lived for several years, before coming to Stonewall. Although Mom struggled with her health from surgeries and treatment for colon cancer, she always strived to be active in her community and with family. Mom enjoyed her family immensely, especially her little granddaughter. She actively helped take care of her until her health concerns no longer made this possible. She may have taken a less active role in the lives of her family, but she was always interested in what was going on and enjoyed the many photos they sent and visits she received. Mom will be greatly missed, but is at rest and in peace. She struggles no more and rides the skies on her old friend Misty. As per Mom's request, cremation has taken place. Interment will take place later this spring at the Fisherton Cemetery, date to be announced later. Ride the wind, Ride in fields of flowers with sunny skies and good friends near by. Ride through the clouds, soft and white, Then rest your head on the stars at night. Watch us with love, guide us with care, and wait for us For some day we too will be there. And when we are together once more, no sadness or tears will be shared, Just smiles, laughs and love Forever more. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall 204-467-2525 firstname.lastname@example.org
