  • With a Heavy heart I say goodbye to a fantastic friend, she always was easy to talk to, made you look on a subject as a whole, and she would make me laugh. her strength is her testimony. To her Family: it is with much love and respect that I send you my sympathy and empathy for the loss of someone so dear. - Posted by: Jack Frazier (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2017

  • Kathy was one of my close friends at Pollard Banknote, known to a few. She never failed to say "Hi, Brittney" to me whenever we see each other. I still remember the last we chatted... We both hoped that things will go well with her treatment and that I will see her more often. We reminisced why she called me Brittney. I was sending her emails with no subject line and I kept saying "ooops, sorry I did it again". Her next emails then read "Hi, Brittney ". Kat, you will always be remembered as a loving friend to many and a great mom to Shannon. May you rest in peace. Love, " your Brittney" - Posted by: Jocelyn Francisco (Co-worker) on: Mar 18, 2017

  • I write this with great sadness over the unimaginable loss of a close friend to cancer. She was 61. She fought a brave and strong battle for many years but the cancer would not allow her to get better. She took each day in stride, never really complaining, always feeling tired and always hoping that the treatments would finally end so she could get on with her life. This was my hope too. This beautiful woman, inside and out, was a wonderful friend to me, supporting me for over 22 years with her honest and caring nature. One of her beliefs in life was the importance of being authentic with people, saying what needs to be said because it’s good for the relationship. Also, I always admired how she never judged or forced her opinions on anyone, but offered valuable and truthful advice that I will surely miss. My friend was loving and real. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter and laid a strong foundation for her. The many people who love her daughter Shannon will watch over her, as she is, and make sure that she has a great life, full of her values and wishes. Lastly, her magnetic smile will be missed by all who knew her. During my friend’s illness, I know that there were two things that kept her going, her daughter and hope, otherwise to face another day would have been tough, and I know how many days she must have had like that. Now my hope is that she rest in peace knowing she did all that she could and that her daughter will be fine. When we love people it’s so comforting to know that they will always be with us in our hearts. I will see you again, my friend. - Posted by: Tracey MacLean (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2017
