KIMBERLY ARSENAULT (nee JOHNSTON) It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved partner, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Kimberly Arsenault (Johnston). Kim is predeceased by her mother Theresa; father Wendel and step-father Marcel. Left behind to cherish her memory are spouse Terry; son Vincent; daughter Ashley (Garry); brother Pernell (Sandie); her adored pets especially Tess; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends that will miss Kim deeply. She will be remembered as the warm, loving, genuine, thoughtful, caring, selfless and above all kind person she always was. Kim was born in Winnipeg on April 15, 1963, growing up in the Riverview and Lord Roberts Community, attending Riverview Elementary School and Churchill High School. Kim holds many fond memories of all the laughs and giggles with the Arsenault family, all of whom she kept friendship with over the years. Kim recently left the city lights with Terry and beloved dog Tess for  Point, MB, to caOakre for Terry's father Peter. Kim loved the outdoors, any weekend she could be found on the frozen waterways fishing, or around the bonfire surrounded with Terry and friends. She moved to where she belonged - the great outdoors, minutes from the lake and the wondrous natural beauty of the surrounding area, along with Terry and his family who loved her so much. A service will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Churchill United Church, 525 Beresford Ave., with reception to follow. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Words cannot express the deepest sorrow of the loss of such an amazing gentlest, kindest soul that I was so blessed to have known and truly honor to have been called her friend. Kim was the type of person that would welcomed you in her home as if you knew her all your life. We shared many of laughs and even shed a few tears together over the years. I will always remember the many nights we would queue up the BBQ, have a bonfire and sit back to watch one of her favorite movies called Phantom of the Paradise. She was so adorable to watch as she knew all the words to every song and she would sing along. Kim also had a great passion for the outdoors, and every chance she got she would be out there being a part of nature, from planting her flowers in the summer to ice fishing in the winter. I loved seeing her face light up when she would talk about adventures. Kim you brought so much happiness and well being to everyone around you. I will truly miss you my dear friend and you will always be treasured in my heart. Sending lots of love to Ashley, Vinnie & Terry - Posted by: Sherrie & Mark (Friends) on: Jun 13, 2017

  • It's still so hard to believe how things can change in an instant.. I just saw you and now your gone. My heart is breaking for your family. Our kids grew up together, Annette and I were so looking forward to coming to see you this summer like we planned. I'm so glad I got to see you and your memorable smile once more. As one mother to another I promise I will always try to be there for Ashley and Vinnie in any way that I can. May you rest in peace Kim.. - Posted by: Andrea Nagasaka (Friend) on: Jun 12, 2017

  • Sorry for your loss. I wIll always have fond memories of hanging out with Kim & Pernell growing up in Winnipeg. Kim always had a gentle soul. It's too bad we didn't stay in touch after starting our own families, but that's the way it is sometimes. Take care Pernell. Take care Vincent and Ashley. I know it's hard with her gone but she'll always be with you in spirit. Don't be afraid to talk to her. - Posted by: Brenda Hachey (Johnston) (Cousin) on: Jun 11, 2017

  • "What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget" --Author Unknown My deepest condolences, you're all in my thoughts and prayers... xo - Posted by: Serena Rigby (Friend) on: Jun 11, 2017
