CLEMENTINE ALBRIGHT December 30, 1923 - July 10, 2017 It is with great sadness we announce, the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 93 years. Left to survive Clementine are her son Dana Albright (Edith); daughter Linda Trinder (John); grandchildren, Tammy Matthew (James) and Shawn Trinder (Andrea Maier); and three great-grandchildren, Sophie, Rowan and Madeline Matthew. She was predeceased by her husband Howard (Bill) in 1978. Clementine was born in Provost, Alberta and grew up in Prelate, Saskatchewan. She joined the army and worked in signals during the war and it was there that she met her husband (Bill). They were married November 4, 1944. After the war they lived in Dauphin, MB and then moved to Winnipeg. Clementine was a stay at home mother for several years until the children were grown up. She then worked at several different jobs, telephone operator, meat cutter and finally a home care worker. Clem loved to play pool, shuffleboard, do puzzles and work in her garden. Special thanks to the staff at Donwood and Health Sciences Centre Emergency for their kindness, compassion and caring. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 1020 Main Street, 204.586.8668 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • So sorry to learn of your mum's death. I remember her walking along the roads at Belair with her walking stick and floppy hat, defying any bear around to challenge her! I admired her courage and determination and her indomitable spirit. Andrea and Bill - Posted by: Andrea Zajac (Friend from the lake) on: Jul 15, 2017

  • My deepest sympathy for Dana and Linda, who were names on a Christmas card, but always known to me. Clem was my godmother when I was baptised in Dauphin and a good friend to my mother, Louise Thompson. She had a long, full life, but I understand the sorrow her family feels now. Thinking of you, Beverley. - Posted by: Beverley Smith (God-daughter) on: Jul 14, 2017

  • My condolences to the Albright family. I remember Mrs. Albright from when I was a little girl living on Rossmere Crescent, which was across the backlane from their house. She always made me feel welcome to visit Linda. I played with Linda when I was little until I was a teenager. I remember several teen parties we had in their basement as teenagers. I'm not sure when or how we lost touch but I enjoyed them all as neighbours and typically as we get older look back at that time and sometimes wish we could have a do over of this enjoyable time. - Posted by: Wendy Barnes( nee Wilde) (Neighbour during the 50's to the 70's) on: Jul 14, 2017
