LAURALEE ELIZABETH CORDINER On Monday, July 10, 2017, Lauralee Elizabeth Cordiner passed away peacefully, at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 55 years. Lauralee will be sadly missed by her husband, Greg McCombe; mother Jacqueline Cordiner; brother William Cordiner (Susan), and the entire McCombe family. She will also be missed by her stepdaughters, Tayla and Marley McCombe; Scout and Dakota, as well as many relatives in Ontario and in Scotland. She was predeceased by her father, Robertson John (Bob) Cordiner in 1999. On December 3, 1961, Lauralee was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Windsor Park. She attended both the University of Manitoba and Red River College. She began working at The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) as a summer student and spent her entire working career of 32 years at RBC in various capacities. Lauralee worked in both Selkirk, Manitoba as well as Winnipeg at a couple of different branches; Henderson and McIvor and Pembina and Oakenwald. Her love for RBC, her clients and co-workers was evident by the passion by which she displayed on a daily basis. Lauralee resided in the St. Vital area of Winnipeg with her husband Greg and her canine kids, Scout and Dakota. She spent many summers at the family cottage at "Whispering Pines" in Grand Marais, Manitoba and very much enjoyed that laid-back lifestyle. Through the years, Lauralee and her husband Greg have made a yearly trek to Vancouver Island, specifically to Tofino, BC, which she absolutely loved. She also enjoyed many trips with her husband Greg and family. Lauralee was a very talented, gifted person and enjoyed being a wonderful wife, daughter and sister. Her love for her family, friends (co-workers) and animals had no boundaries. She had a very special place in her heart for "her boys and girls", Murphy, Chelsey, Hurricane, Badger, Scout, Dakota, Boo, Babe and Bazi. On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, Lauralee's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive at Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, with Rev. Teresa Moysey, presider. Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • We were shocked to learn of Lauralee's passing. Our family were RBC clients of hers for about 10 years. She was like part of our family. We would share vacation plans and ideas every year. Through conversations we felt like we knew her mom, Greg, the girls and her furbabies. Our hearts go out to her whole family left behind. With our deepest condolences. - Posted by: Sabrina & Terry Lutomsky and family (Client) on: Jul 22, 2017

  • Everyone I have ever met has been made up of moments, tokens and small things that when put together make them unique. A sleepover, a cottage, red hair, a never ending supply of wit. Each individual thing is unremarkable, because they are each common things in any person's story. But when you add them all together they become more than any possible person's story and instead are memories, places and things that make up my memory of my aunt. When I think of her I see sleepovers at their house when I was quite young and rooms felt large and queen size beds felt like an island. I picture trips to Grand Marais and a cottage that sits on the hill. I see her laughing at a dinner party, either at my mom's house or at my grandma's dining hall. She was always laughing, sometimes at my Uncle Greg. Her nickname is Lauralulu, and he always twitches his eyebrows at her and she swats him away in a loving annoyance. She gave gifts that were bedazzled, sparkly, fluffy. I always would keep the wrapping from her Christmas gifts. I think the greatest thing she has ever inspired in me was a strong will. No was never the answer unless it came from herself and I admire that about her. I dislike goodbyes greatly, especially the kind where you know it's final, and you won't see them until maybe later in another time and space. I don't want to say goodbye but I know I have to. And I think she has already said goodbye to me so it is time to say it in return. So, Aunt Lauralee thank you for saying goodbye. I love you so much, so so so much. My heart hurts knowing you're gone. Love you forever, Breeze - Posted by: Breeze Agar (Niece) on: Jul 21, 2017

  • Greg, we met you and Lauralee while you visited Grand Bend just before your marriage. We remember how excited she was about the upcoming wedding and that is how we will always remember Lauralee. We are very sorry for your loss and hope that time will soothe your sorrow and allow you to fully enjoy and find comfort in the memories of the time you shared together. It was too brief and you have our deepest condolences. Steven and Linda Jacka - Posted by: Steven and Linda Jacka (Heather Semkowski's brother and sister in-laws) on: Jul 18, 2017

  • Greg, Barry and I are so sorry to hear about Larualee. We were both fortunate to meet Lauralee, even if it was only once. Her bubbly personality blossomed the very moment we met her. She had a beautiful smile on her face and you could tell that the love you both shared for each other was so real. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.. • My sincerest condolences to all the family. May you find strength during this difficult time with the wonderful memories of Lauralee. I worked with Lauralee at Pembina and Oakenwald many yrs ago and often shared the same lunch hour. She was truly a thoughtful and kind woman. She was single at the time and was always talking about her love for her dogs 🐶 and her cottage in Grand Marais. May be rest in peace. - Posted by: Denise Fromm (Co-worker) on: Jul 17, 2017

  • Such a shock to hear that Lauralee has passed. I'm sure her family is reeling from the loss of such a wonderful woman. She had been my advisor at RBC Oakenwald for about 15 years. I got to know a lot about her life over the years and felt like I knew Greg, the dogs and her Mom. We shared many laughs and both talked about our mutual dream to move to Victoria or Vancouver Island. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. • I first met Lauralee in 1989 when she was at Main and Selkirk RBC and then we worked side by side at Henderson and McIvor for many years together. Fell out of touch over time. But many fond memories, at her family cabin, girls nights out - lots of fun. Lauralee had a wicked sense of humour when she let her hair down! Very shocking and sad news. Sincere condolences to her family. - Posted by: Janice Reid Baryliuk (0ld friend and co-worker) on: Jul 12, 2017
