TERYL WADE December 4, 1945 - July 26, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Teryl Wade (nee Johnston) on July 26, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Frank, daughter, Angela (Brent), son, David (Monique), grandchildren, Josh, Lucas, Nelson and Lyla, sisters, Joan and Betty, and numerous other relatives. Teryl was predeceased by her parents, Mel and Jean Johnston, her brothers-in-law, Stuart Milne, Gene Lofto and John Calderwood, and her sister-in-law, Margaret (Wade) Calderwood. Teryl was born in Winnipeg but spent part of her early years growing up in Dacotah and Moose Jaw before returning to Winnipeg. She met her husband, Frank, at a Young Peoples group at Deer Lodge United Church in 1965 and they were married in the same church on September 16, 1967. She spent her entire career, 44 years, working at Health Sciences Centre as a lab technologist in clinical microbiology. Teryl was dedicated to her work but cherished spending time with her family and will be dearly missed and forever loved by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre. A memorial service will be held at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. A private interment of her cremated remains will take place on a later date. • I am heartbroken to hear of Teryl's passing. For many years she and I would be the first to arrive to work. We would spend the 1/2 hour prior to the start of the shift chatting about the news of the day or other things in our lives. Some days we would spend the time in companionable silence; I would read my newspaper she would read the latest mystery novel. Rest in peace, my friend. - Posted by: Assunta Rendina (Work colleague) on: Jul 29, 2017

  • I'm so sorry to hear of Teryl's death. She was one of my best friends at Silver Heights school, St. James in the late to early 60's. Pleased I caught with her at the Silver Heights Reunion in 2007. Condolences to her family and her husband, Frank, who I remember from Deer Lodge Young People's group. - Posted by: Jillian Dagg, nee Fayers (School friend) on: Jul 29, 2017

  • My deepest condolences Frank to you and your family. I was deeply shocked to read of Teryl's passing. Teryl lived down the street from us. She was better friends with my brother Ken than me because they were at mutual friends' parties. When I was 9 and Teryl would be 10, I invited her to my birthday party and she gave me a photo album with a picture of her when she would be about 5 and I still have that picture after all these years. - Posted by: Joan Porteous (Former Neighbour on Palliser Ave.) on: Jul 29, 2017
