JOHN BAZIUK 1930 - 2017 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear father, John, on Thursday, July 27, 2017. He will be lovingly remembered by sons, Ron (Maureen) and Gary (Gina), daughter Cheryl, sister Elsie, grandchildren, Tara (Aaron), Jas, Christopher (Bridget), Courtney (Dave) and Lucas, and great-grandchildren, Anna, Jayden, Jirah and Joey, Anastasia and Jaxon. John also leaves to mourn his passing many other family and friends. John was predeceased by his wife, Anne, parents, Bill and Mary and sister, Ann. John was born in Stuartburn, MB on January 13, 1930. He moved to Winnipeg where he met and married Anne on July 31, 1954. John worked for Nelson River Construction for 42 years, progressing through many positions and finally to that of foreman. One of his favourite sayings at work was"Boys, there's a cloud in the sky, looks like rain, lets pack her up and head for the Winnipeg Hotel." One of John's favourite pastimes was playing crib and more times than not, skunking his opponent. John also enjoyed following the Toronto Blue Jays and could quote their standings and stats. In his last years, John was a resident at Rosewood and just recently at Riverview. Many thanks to all the caregivers over the years.
