SHEILA MARGARET TOWNSLEY (nee MCDONALD) November 14, 1931 - July 29, 2017 Sadly, on Saturday, July 29, 2017, Sheila Townsley passed away at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 85 years. Left to mourn Sheila's passing are her sisters, Jane Comberbach and Mary Mae Jamieson, as well as brothers, Lee, Ken and George. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, all of whom she spent many good times with. She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Louise McDonald; brothers, John McDonald and Bob McDonald, and sisters, Una King, Kaytie Nordstrom and Lliane David. Sheila lived her life fully, out and about visiting or shopping. Her passion was spending time with her nieces and nephews, dragging as many as she could to the casino. In compliance with Sheila's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. Many thanks to the wonderful doctors and nursing staff at Riverview Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, should anyone wish, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I knew Mrs. Townsley for many years. I worked for her as a home care employee. We had a wonderful friendship with many conversations, lots of laughter and a few coffees. She was always a wonderful person to me . I will never forget her kindness, laughter and she will always be in my heart. My sympathy to you for your loss. - Posted by: Janice Youmans (Friend) on: Aug 30, 2017

  • To: Tracey, Cindy, and John and the Rest of Sheila's Family, I am so saddened to read in today's obituary that your Aunt Sheila passed away as mid -July I was in WPG. and did speak to her. Before I left, I was unable to get her on the phone so I gathered she was in the hospital. Sheila and I continued to be good friends even after I moved to Saskatoon. I will always remember and treasure her loving memories . Her Family was so special to her. My Deepest Sympathy ! Fondest regards, Emelia Samcoe, Saskatoon, Sk. - Posted by: Emelia Samcoe (Good Friends) on: Aug 05, 2017
