LILLIAN LEIMAN (nee RAAEN) November 24, 1926 - August 10, 2017 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom at the age of 91. Mom went peacefully into God's arms. Left to carry on her legacy are her son Darryl (Linda), step-grandson Jason, step-great-granddaughter Olivea, and daughter Dayle. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Henry Leiman, sister Agnes, and brothers, Arvied, Norman and Conrad. She is survived by sisters, Carrie and Marion, and brother Olaf (Ruth). Mom was born in Oslo, Norway and moved to Austin, MB with her parents and siblings in 1929. She worked as a seamstress at Richlu Sports for many years. The family also lived in Kelowna, BC for a short time and ran the Dew Drop Inn, where Mother was always making homemade pies and homecooked meals for the restaurant. Upon retiring, Mom started working in her son's food truck, Goldies Fries. Mom was the cornerstone of our family. She was a strong, beautiful, loving woman. In her later years, Mom moved to Calvary Place Personal Care Home, where the staff were loving and compassionate towards Mom. We want to thank all the staff for all the wonderful care you gave to Mom. A special thank-you to Bill and Bonnie Leiman for all your visits. We are going to miss you Mom!!! You will be forever in our hearts. Thank-you for all that you gave to us. At Lil's request, cremation has taken place and a private family funeral service will be held. • Dear Darryl and Dayle, my sincere condolences to both of you and your families on the passing of your mom. I have fond memories of spending time with Auntie Lil in Kelowna and having some great card games together in Winnipeg. May the passing of time lessen your grief and may the memories of your mom stay forever in your hearts. Sincerely, Cindy "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
