Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Mildred and I shared many experiences including a friendship that went back more than 75 years; for a brief time we shared an apartment in the "North End" with another friend, Martha; one of the most memorable experiences we shared was a three month motor trip throughout the U.S. and on into Mexico where we sat on the beach at Mazatlan when it was still a sleepy little village; In our retirement we have been sharing occasional lunches with another friend from our St. Al's school days. In today's world I think it is marvelous to have been part of a friendship that has lasted more than 75 years. Mildred, you will be missed. God speed. - Posted by: Helen Sterzer (Friend) on: Aug 27, 2017

  • The Rumls and Butlers grew up together in East St. Paul. Mildred always shared the stories of the two families whenever we saw her. To the remaining Ruml family we send our deepest sympathy in the loss of Mildred. Fred & Jan Butler - Posted by: Fred & Jan Butler (Long time friend) on: Aug 26, 2017

  • Mildred and I shared a friendship that went back more than 75 years; we shared lunches with another lifelong friend over the past years; at one point we shared an apartment with yet another good friend; but the greatest adventure that we shared was a most memorable motor trip that lasted for several months and took us through most of the U.S and Mexico. Mildred was generally up for adventure and now she is off on the greatest of all adventures. God speed old friend. - Posted by: Helen Sterzer (Friend) on: Aug 26, 2017

  • Mildred was a true example to me of how to love in the hardest of times. She spent most of her days visiting the sick and home bound. She found her purpose in the service of others. Thank you Mildred for the gift of your generous spirit. May the angels greet you with song and the Good Lord welcome you into His loving arms. I will remember you fondly and look to your example of humility and service always. - Posted by: Gina Borges (Friend) on: Aug 23, 2017
