WALLY LAWRENCE PITURA January 8, 1953 - September 3, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Wally on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at his home, at the age of 64 years. Wally is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Cyndi Pidborchynski; his sister Terri (brother-in-law Bryan Okurley); nephew Graeme (Liz); brother Patrick (sister-in-law Jennie); and nieces, Stacey and Jillian. He was predeceased by his father Walter in 1978, and his mother Anne in 2014. Wally was born in Winnipeg and attended schools in the West Kildonan area, graduating from Garden City Collegiate. Wally was honoured to be godfather to Stephen's son Adam and he loved to spend time with him. Wally was a quiet, gentle soul and loved to help anyone in need. He volunteered with many organizations and gave generously of his time. He had a passion for cars and trucks as his friends could attest to. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • It was nice to to know Wally as very good friend, brother, father, teacher, very helpful, very precise to the point and what not... I Never forget, I met Wally first time in 2004 winter in Winnipeg in my Parking lot. That day I called Stephen Chemist and asked help as my Van tire was flat he said he can't come but he will see what he can do for me. After few minutes Stephen called me saying his best friend Wally is on the way to help me and after waiting some time in my Van. I see a tall handsome looking man is approaching towards my Van as usual Wally introduce to himself me and without wasting time he garbed the the spanner and started working on flat tire and with in few minutes spare tire was installed. In my mind just to honer him with some hesitation I humbly asked Wally thank you than offered some money. Wally said Vijay no money in friendship when comes to help any time. Than he shock my hand and left. In other words he was such a to the point person in all the situations accordingly which proved me till my last meeting with him in February came to my work place to say hi for couple of minutes. There are so many ever green stories, traveling, eating, country side going, going with him to select new deal Vehicles, learning form Holy Bible verses when I sit down with him at his all the time nice tide home. On Ukrainian new year, X-mass and calendar new all the gifts and greetings I remember under the X-mass tree. He always offer some thing to eat and to drink coffee, tea, water or soft drinks. As he was found of New vehicles, New equipments in other words any thing new and top notch quality and brand name product. Wally always saying you buy new and brand name items you are paying one time more money which pinch you but down the road you won't regret and you feel happy you took right decision. Wally was a very good negotiator but with dignity and he plan ahead always he make a list on piece of paper he writes every possibility as well research and rehearse several time he always takes opinions form his near and dears and when he talk to them repeatedly same thing and he always admits that he is thinking too much but at the end he will do same as he likes which makes him feel satisfied. So much to say but for Wally sky Universe is the limit! I pray to mighty God please look after my dear friend Wally Pitura for his new life where ever he is...
