RON ARRON May 6, 1951 - September 5, 2017 Peacefully, in accordance with Ron's wishes, he passed away at home while holding his soul mate Dixie's hand. He is in peace now after battling cancer for several years. Left to cherish this wonderful man is his wife Dixie, of 37 years (Ron affectionately called her "Birdie"); children: Carla (Brian) Trickett, Craig (Lindsay) Harper and Cole Aaron; grandchildren: Tiffany (Blaine), Charlene, Tyler and Emilia; great-grandchildren: Jaelyn, Hemingway and Kadynce; sister, Kim Shore; many nieces and nephews, and Carlos - his fur child. Ron was preceded in death by parents, Al and Stephanie; sister, Bev; mother-in-law, Emma "Lou" Clissold; godson, Ritchie, and sister-in-law, Cheryl (Andy). Ron was employed by CP Railway for 33 years. He was an avid member of the North Winnipeg YMCA where he worked out and was part of what was known as the "Y Boys!" Ron's talent and abilities were endless and he tackled all with an abundance of energy and he was meticulous to detail. Be it electrical, carpentry, landscape, mechanical, artistic task, Ron wouldn't stop until the job was complete. He was a strong, stubborn, outspoken man and even prior to his passing was working on making things perfect. Ron was a homebody who enjoyed pop-in visits from family and friends, who at times would join him and Dixie in his man cave. Ron's love and friendship was unconditional and he never asked for anything in return. We love you "Dude" and see you later! Ron, being a "no frills guy", requested no service and this is honoured by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place by Cropo Funeral Home. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to CancerCare doctors, nurses and staff, as well as family and friends. If so desired, donations may be sent to Muscular Dystrophy, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.

  • We were childhood friends from the age of nine. I have known, admired and loved Ron for 57 years. I will miss my dear friend forever but I know we will be reunited in eternity where God himself will be with us. "God will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things will be gone forever":Revelation 21:4. I thank God for the time we had together especially our last three hours with Dixie, me and you in the man cave. Until we meet again, Rest in peace my wonderful buddy. - Posted by: Len (Childhood best friends) on: Sep 09, 2017
