  • I have so many happy memories of Mrs. Baier from when I was a very little girl growing up in Norwood (Winnipeg, Manitoba). Mrs. Baier always had the coffee on for my mom, when we came to visit, and the Barbies out for Kerry and I to play with. I remember sleepovers fondly, and many happy times playing in the yard or around the front stairs. She welcomed me back for a visit in 1977, long after our family had moved from that neighbourhood and was so interested in what I had been doing in the intervening years. Then again, in 1978, I popped in on Mr. and Mrs. Baier with my teenage boyfriend, hoping to introduce him to Kerry. She wasn't there - but Mrs. Baier invited us both in as if we were family and fed us and offered us coffee, sitting to talk for quite a while to catch up on my life. I loved her very much and she will be in my heart forever. Rest in Peace. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family, and Kerry especially. - Posted by: Joni Lugtig (Family friend) on: Sep 09, 2017
