PATRICIA (TRISH) HAZEL MERRY July 11, 1965 - September 11, 2017 Born July 11, 1965 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Dr. Colin and Hazel Merry, (Patricia). Trish was predeceased by her mother, Hazel and is survived by her father Colin, her husband Michael, her sons Joshua and Evan, her brothers Andrew (Ming-Hui), and Stuart (Jiang Jing) and her nephews and nieces, Siobhan, Iain, Emma and Alec. Perhaps the most important thing to Trish was family and relationships. Although her immediate family was small, she developed a strong community that became her extended family, a close-knit collection of people who provided strength, support and love to her and her boys throughout her entire life. Particularly in her final days, the love and kindness of this extended family was received, welcomed and truly appreciated - thank you to you all. Trish's utmost pride and joy was being "Mum." Whether it was running her boys to karate, preparing for the next two-hour bike ride ("what else do you do with active boys?"), planning the next adventure, or just getting away to Star Lake to breathe and let the boys enjoy God's great creation with other families, she always considered being Mum her highest priority and greatest purpose. Trish touched many lives during her time with us. She will always be remembered as a beautiful person and a beautiful soul, who is now a beautiful angel who watches over us. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2017 at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, 160 Ethelbert Street. Sweet dreams, beloved Trish. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I am deeply saddened about Trish's passing. I am thankful that we reconnected through Facebook years ago. Her friendship will be missed. I am grateful to have visited with her in January and I was honoured to meet Michael. My thoughts are with Michael, Josh and Evan and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Jacqueline Lai (Friend) on: Sep 18, 2017

  • Oh no! This is a shock! Trish and my sister Tracey were friends in school before we moved to BC. Trish was such a happy, bubbly person it's difficult to imagine a world without her in it. My thoughts are with her family and friends that mourn a deep loss. - Posted by: Suzanne (Jobst) Bonin (Friend) on: Sep 14, 2017

  • Trish, you are the exemplar of agape in your love for your Christian God and for fellow humans and creatures, great and small. We are bereft without you, but your model of kindness and generosity--your true beauty--shall endure to inspire others. Thank you, my dear friend, for honouring me with your friendship all these decades. Godspeed. - Posted by: Carrie Smallwood (friend) on: Sep 14, 2017

  • I am so sorry to read this sad news. My husband worked with Colin years ago, and I remember Patricia as a happy little girl, very good at keeping two brothers in their place! Little helps at a time like this, but remember - "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, - but by the moments that take our breath away." Deepest condolences from me and my family. Margaret Taylor. - Posted by: Margaret Taylor (Friend) on: Sep 14, 2017
