CLAUDETTE BANVILLE

CLAUDETTE ESTELLE BANVILLE (nee NAULT) Suddenly, with profound sadness, on March 3, 2000, our beloved mother and grandmother was called to God peacefully at the St. Pierre De Salaberry District Health Centre. IM FREE Dont grieve for me, for now Im free. Im following paths God laid for me. I took His hand, I heard Him call...and turned And bid farewell to all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, To work and play, tasks left undone must stay That way. I found my peace...at close of day. And if my parting left a void, then fill it with Remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss ah yes These things I too will miss. Be not burdened...deep with sorrow, I wish You sunshine for tomorrow. My lifes been full...Ive savoured much, Good Friends, good times...A loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, dont Lengthen it with undue grief. Lift your heart...and share with me, God wants Me now...He set me free. Mom was born in St. Pierre-Jolys on April 12, 1936, to one of the founding families in the area. She married at an early age and realized the importance of family life. Much loved by her family as a devoted and loving mother, she worked hard to raise her six children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. She was the cornerstone of her family. Mom was in good health and spirits virtually to the end. Her love, generosity, humour, and good advice will be remembered in the hearts and minds of her large family of relatives and friends. Mom leaves to cherish her memory three daughters and three sons, Lynda (Jake) of Roseau River, MB, Jerry, Mike (Chrys) of Winnipeg, MB, Monique (Peter) of the Cayman Island, B.W.I., Louise (Yves) of Florida, U.S.A., and Marc Jr. of Ontario; nine grandchildren, Tanner, Wesley, Janel, Justin, Cole, Vanessa, Olivia, Sarah and Nicholas; sisters, Lorraine, Evelyn (Denis) and brother Norman (Karoline). She is also survived by two aunts, Anastasia and Gertude (Lawrence) many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, good friends and neighbours. Both her loving mother Leontine and beloved father Eugene predeceased her. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Wiebe, nurses Lisa and Kim and the nursing staff on GD6, Health Sciences Centre, for their care and compassion during our mothers illness. Our family would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the staff of St. Pierre De Salaberry District Health Centre for their support during Moms journey home to God. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Mass of a Christian Burial celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Jolys Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, and in her memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
