RONALD WAYNE FRIESEN Peacefully on March 26, 2000 Ronald Wayne Friesen joined his Lord and Saviour. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Cheryl; and his sons, Brandon, Keaton, Noah, and Rhys; his father and mother, Menno and Marge Friesen of Niverville; his father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Betty Friesen of Grunthal; his brother and fiancee, Brad Friesen and Wendy Blair of Niverville; his brother-in-law Dale Friesen and sister-in-law Sandra Friesen; nephew Justin and niece Alexandra of Grunthal and grandfather Peter Friesen of Steinbach; (grandparents-in-law, Peter and Helen Froese of Grunthal, Mary Friesen of Grunthal) and many family and friends. Ron was predeceased by one infant son Ethan in 1991; his grandfather Jacob Wiebe in 1966, his grandmother Katherine Friesen in 1975, and his grandmother Helena Wiebe in 1988 (grandfather-in-law Henry T. Friesen in 1998). Ron touched many lives. His friendliness and outgoing personality was his special gift. Everyone he met was considered a "Buddy". He was a loving husband and father who thought the world of his family. His faith and his family were his highest concern and never made a decision without them uppermost in his mind. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. His wife and sons would like to thank Dr. Minnaar and the wonderful nurses at Bethesda Hospital and Seven Oaks General Hospital. These people are truly gifted at what they do and were a great comfort to us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethesda Palliative Care Unit. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grunthal Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church. Interment will follow in the Grunthal Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 30 at Loewen Funeral Chapel between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach in care of arrangements; 1-204-326-1351.
