CHARLOTTE YAWORSKI

CHARLOTTE ANNIE (HANSLIP, DOWSETT) YAWORSKI Peacefully, on January 15, 2005 at the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away, with her family by her side. Lottie was 91 years. Born on October 14, 1913 in Carman, MB Lottie was the oldest daughter of Jack and Mable Hanslip, married Stan Dowsett in 1927 and together they raised five children, Elsie, Art, Ray, Allan and Clayton. They were married for 44 years. Lottie was a longtime member of the Mulvihill Red Cross. Mom kept her children and grandchildren in knitted mitts and slippers. We could always count on a delicious meal and home made bread when we visited. Christmas day was the highlight of the year to us all and we were able to get together at their home in Mulvihill for quite a few years. Lottie loved to go fishing, she and Stan went fishing as often as they could, took the grandchildren, and were often joined by her Mom and Dad, Allan and Lou, as well as family and friends. Lottie's world was shattered when husband Stan suddenly passed away in 1971, and when daughter Elsie became seriously ill with cancer, and passed away in 1972. In 1974 Lottie married Ed Yaworski and gained her second family. Ed and Lottie travelled quite a lot, enjoyed New Year's Eve in Winnipeg and of course went fishing. They were married for 27 years. Ed passed away in 2001. Lottie will be lovingly remembered by sons, Art Dowsett (Marg), Ray Dowsett (Elaine), Clayton Dowsett (Joanne); grandchildren, Sandra (David), Brad (Laurie), Robin (Rolly), Arch (Dawn), Wandis (Merle), Eva (Bruce), Tom (Eileen), John (Erica), Carol (Pat), Derek (Monique), Jamie (Tara). Great-grandchildren, Alanna (Joe), Elsie-Ann (Aaron), Dodie (Scott), Brady, Connor, Kevin, Bret, Jay, Melanie, Ashleigh, Darrel, Daniel (Lisa), Curtis (Heather), Sabrina (Adam), Amber, Walter, Charlotte, Anika, Aram, Thorton, Jennifer, Timothy, Zachary, and Sarah; great-great-grandchildren, Stephen, Jarod, Julia, Katie, Dradon, Lateesha. Sisters, Lil Casselman, Pearl Heroux and brother John (Shirley) Hanslip, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are John, Brian, Kevin (Bev) Yaworski, Kathleen (Brad) Collins; grandchildren, Margaret (Bob), Amy, Paula, Kevin Jr., Kristin (Mark), and Gordon; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Curtis, many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law, Nellie Hudson, Kelona, BC and Arleigh Rodway, Vancouver, BC. Lottie was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mable; husband Stan; daughter Elsie (Bruce); son Allan (Lucienne); infant grandson Allan Murphy; grandson Linden Dowsett; sisters, Margaret (Bill) Vandevooren, Elva (Rick) Lindell; brothers-in-law, Cliff Casselman, Lyman Heroux and second husband Ed Yaworski. Almost every day we would see Lil driving Mom, and Pearl on weekends, around the Interlake. They would stop for coffee and/or lunch at many restaurants and could tell you where the best places were to eat. They fondly earned the nickname of the Golden Girls, which they all delighted in hearing. Lottie always enjoyed the trips when they visited niece Arlene and husband Ron in BC. John Y. was especially attentive to Mom, he was always bearing gifts for Mom and he drove the girls on many trips around the Interlake and beyond. Often when Kathy and family visited, Kathy would bring out a full course meal so Mom wouldn't have to cook for them and they would just visit or drive some place. Lottie was a remarkable lady, she will be greatly missed. According to Lottie's wishes cremation has taken place, A family burial will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Tiedt, all the nursing staff, and Sandy Payjack for all she did to ensure Mom's comfort at E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital. Thanks also to Dr. Steyn for taking care of Lottie prior to her accident. If friends so desire donations may be given in Lottie's memory to the E. M. Crowe Memorial Guild, in care of Irene Sigurdson, P.O. Box 474, Eriksdale, MB ROC OWO. arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. Ashern - Lundar (204) 768-2072
