FATHIA (EL KHARACHY) FREIG January 1, 1922 - September 11, 2005 Peacefully, en route from Egypt to Winnipeg with her eldest son by her side, our mother and grandmother Fathia El Kharachy Freig passed away at the age of 83 years. Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her children in Canada Nawal and her husband Saleh Kamal, Ahmed Freig and his wife Hoda, Ab Freig and his wife Susan, and her grandchildren Mervat, Ahmed, Hassan and Marise, Bahi and Sandra, and Mohamed Kamal; Layla and Zachary Freig; and Ramy Freig; and her great-grandchildren Nadia, Yasmina, Alex, Samuel, Rosalie, Emma, Malik, Jasmine and Malcolm. Also left to mourn are her children in Alexandria, Egypt, Mohamed Freig and his wife Zeinab, Hassan Freig and his wife Hawaida, Fawzia and her husband Fathy Shehata, and her grandchildren Asmaa, Ahmed, Shosho, Ehab, Fairuz, Kariman, Mido, Ahmed, Alaaeldein, Hebba, Ayaa and her great grandchild Mesbah. She was predeceased by her husband Abdelmonam Freig in 2001. Our mother, born in Egypt where she spent most of her life, immigrated to Canada in 1992 and became a Canadian citizen in 1994. She was a loving woman known for her radiating kindness and big heart. Dearly loved, she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Family and friends are invited to the home of Ab and Susan Freig, 263 Waverley Street during the three-day period of mourning through to Friday, September 16 after 7:00 p.m. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
