BONITA FRANCES (BONNIE) WIENER FERGUSON (nee SORIN) February 3, 1941 - November 11, 2005 Bonnie was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. She completed her education with graduation from North High School in Minneapolis in 1959. She worked as a legal secretary until 1965 when she married Len Wiener and moved to Winnipeg, MB. In Canada she worked as a legal secretary from 1975 to 1981 and as a medical secretary from 1981 to 1997. Her last position was in advertising sales at the Winnipeg Sun where she worked until her illness in April 1999. Bonnie survived by her daughter Robyn Wiener; son Mark Wiener; father and step-mother, Herb and Patti Sorin; sister Madelyn Bergen (Bruce); and trusted friend Daphne McMillan. She was predeceased by her mother Ruth Sorin and husband Neil Ferguson. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Riverview Health Centre, 3E for the exceptional care and kindness they gave Bonnie. Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 13 at Noon at the Chesed Shel Emes Chapel, 1023 Main St., Winnipeg.

  • Bonnie was a one of a kind lady. Her courage, determination, and positive attitude are a beautiful legacy to behold. No matter how sick she was you always came away feeling better from being in her presence. She was a good friend and will be missed immensely.
